Terminator 2 still hold up quite well, so does Jurassic Park (thought that one was a mix of CGI, practical effects, and quick cuts)

I preferred the subtle stuff. I didn’t like Phantom Menace but the effects were top of the line for the time.

I know. Still love Ray Harryhausen. No CGI ever scared me but Talos scared the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid

It's looks better than the sequels. Reloaded has aged terribly.

Backdraft still has the best fire VFX in the history of film imo.
