I'm showing symptoms and did the test. I'm more concerned about its effect on me being able to do schoolwork than anything. I can't concentrate. I stay up at ungodly hours trying to convince myself to do my homework but my brain just doesn't want to and I get nothing done. I also tell myself to get some rest and feel guilty that I'm awake but not being productive. fml. Whatever, I knew the risk and I'm young so it's not gonna have that big of an impact on me.

So sorry to hear about your loss!! Thats awful . What a terrible disease. For me, its the up and downs that scare me. I have 3-4 great days when I feel back to normal and then 1-2 days when it gets worse again seemingly out of nowhere - mostly chest pain. My doctors say wait AT LEAST one more month before getting the vaccine. I might be immune against “regular” covid now for a while but not against all the new strains most likely - but who knows, right? So Ill try and get it as soon as I can in March. Cannot wait for this nightmare to be over. Yeah, it's been brutal. Youngest one was 23. It's been so hard for everybody the last year. I know about 30 people who have gotten it. Most are fine. One who's still on oxygen but he's over 70. I've noticed there are different ways in how the tests are administered. Especially the self tests. How did you get tested? Did you need to spend any time in the hospital? Did you get any of the "rashes" on your hands or feet? Are you taking anything? What you're experiencing is similar to what the people I know are going through. Also extreme fatigue. I'm with you, can't wait for this nightmare to be over. 1. no time in hospital, but was on the phone with doctors daily during the first week 2. tested at nyc government funded lab center - free, PCR, no appointment needed. 3. no rashes 4. per advice of my dr took aspirine daily, plus vitamine D (double dose) C, B, Zinc and Melatonin. Quite the cocktail plus when I was strugglingn with breathing the most I used my inhalers (ventolin and some other drug that helps with inflamation. Honestly not sure I would have made it without those. I am back to normal now, thank god. Again. so sorry about your loss, this thing is fairly unpredictble I feel.

Definitely so much in all this that we don't know.
Please take care of yourself. I'm hoping you won't have any long term issues. Stay strong.

That is the truly concerning part, the unpredictability. I am in a high risk category, so I have been extremely cautious: masked and socially distanced when I go to the grocery store, hand sanitizer after going through the ATM drive-through, no fast food, and when my employer wanted me to come into the office to work after nearly a year of working from home, I refused. I was dumbfounded that he asked this of me, because he has had it and is a long-hauler with underlying medical issues. This virus is spooky just because of the huge range from no symptoms to mild symptoms, to moderate illness, to serious illness to death. It is unique virus, unlike any other to date. The mutations are to be expected; all viruses do that, but this one has been so unpredictable. Historically, the Bubonic Plague took 3 to 4 years to burn itself out, but back then there were no antibiotics or vaccinations. At least we have had advances in medical science and will eventually reduce it to a minimum. I hope you continue to do well!

Sorry to hear you had the Coronavirus Nora. One of my Sister's oldest friends caught it last year but Beccy and I and most of our friends and family have been lucky to avoid it and up until recently I have been mostly staying in aside from going to work and the shops 'cause as somebody with Endometriosis I have heard it would be worse for me if I caught it. I am hoping to get the vaccine when it is available to more people but the biggest concern I have had about with that is if I might be allergic to it 'cause there are a long list of things I can't have or I could go into anaphylactic shock and after hearing some of the stories about people having allergic reactions to vaccines I am going to have to be careful which one I have and talk to my Doctor.

I am doing well now, had my doctor check my lungs and heart and did blood work on me, all good except slightly higher liver ensymes and erythrocytes which boths show I am still dealing with some inflamation so I am taking anti inflamatory drugs and drinking a lot and hoping it will go away soon. Cannot wait to get myself and my parents vaccinated. Hopefuly in 2-3 weeks already!
