Swedish eurodance artist, E-Type scored a few big hits in 1998 with his release of Angels Crying and Here I Go Again, and where the first one came with a music video which surely had to be influenced by the Friday the 13th slashers, and the latter one, was most likely inspired by the Poltergeist franchise. I guess maybe they fit more as Horror film related music videos, but still I thought they might fit into the thread:

Another big late 90s music video hit, was that of Busta Rhymes and Gimme Some More, which always had a very familiar sound to it, but I never quite knew back then from where I had heard it. That was of course until I later on, realized it heavily "borrowed" Bernard Herrmann and parts of his Psycho Main Theme.

Another, well, big favorite dance tune from the 90s, was that of german act, Scooter, who seemed to be big fans of Billy Idol, so much that their frontman/vocalist H.P. Baxxter had a similar hairstyle going on, and where they would cover several of Idol and his 80s hits. Still, their cover of Rebel Yell (1996) is brought up, because of the music video, which has a gothic vampire look going heavily.
