Not gonna lie, I find this a tad more interesting than the Guy Ritchie movie.

This Reddit post is brilliant at pointing out that Batman v Superman is a retelling of King Arthur. Superman is King Arthur. Lex Luthor is Morgana and Doomsday is Mordred. Just as King Arthur impales Mordred, so does Superman impale Doomsday and vice versa.

Well, it's been a while since I've seen Batman v Superman from start to finish so I didn't notice Excalibur being listed on the marquee. Still, I think it's a clever allusion.

Let me guess--everyone will be dark-haired? That was one of the nuttiest things with Excalibur. The main characters had dark-hair. Where the hell were the blondes? Oh right, Morgana and Mordred...the evil ones.
My guess the "faithful" retelling will be very much subject to one's interpretation of the word faithful. I am very curious how many actual people of Celtic or Anglo-Saxon ancestry will be in the main cast. I will make a bet that it's going to be much more diverse.
