It's the first in a planned trilogy of horror films inspired by the famous ocean liner supposedly being haunted, leading Time Magazine to call it the most haunted place in the world. For those curious, the vessel is permanently docked at Long Beach, California and open to visitation.

I've been to the Queen Mary a few times and even rented a room for Halloween once. I don't know if the market for ship-related ghost horror is lucrative enough for a trilogy, but I'd give one of them a shot.

After watching the "Queen Mary Ghosts" segment, featured on "Unsolved Mysteries", on the Halloween Episode filmed on the ship, which aired on October 26, 1988... I came to believe it IS haunted... Not sure what "Haunted" really means, But... That EVP recording, that they captured in the bow of the ship, of the "Curacoa Collision"... ...That EVP recording, clearly wasn't just some random static, it DID sound exactly like what had been reported, no mistaking that! That entire segment was spooky as hell, and still creeps me out! If even if 1% of what has been claimed is real, that's enough... I still don't know what to make of the Ghost Lady in the dining room, who didn't move, when the waitress brought her a cup of coffee... Why would she be like a mannequin? A couple of the other claims: The Haunted Pool The engineer who was crushed to death All four segments of that Halloween special, were released on the fantastic DVD set in 2004. "Queen Mary Ghosts" "Tatum's Ghost" "General Wayne's Inn" "Tallman's Ghost"Looking forward to seeing these films... I know that many people don't believe in Ghosts, and will debate their existence all day long, and that's fine... But, I do hope that at least these films will stay fairly true to the reports...I've seen some other movies, that were not true to the reports, and those were a complete letdown.

I don't know if the market for ship-related ghost horror is lucrative enough for a trilogy, but I'd give one of them a shot. The Queen Mary was investigated on "Ghost Hunters" by the TAPS team, and someone tried to pull a fast one on them by faking a bed unmaking itself... This was discovered by a jump on their tape. The covers shifted from one frame to another. The tape was paused... Not sure if this was done to attract more customers or not. Sadly... There has been many reports, from years earlier, which do seem genuine... and this kind of trickery does more harm then good, to investigating the phenomenon, and all it does is it just re-enforces any skeptics claims that none of it is real. This wasn't the only time, "Ghost Hunters" investigated a famous place, where the owners were tricking consumers in order to "enhance" their experiences, and draw more patrons... After watching "Unsolved Mysteries" years earlier, I was excited to see these places investigated by TAPS, but was so disappointed in what the TAPS team found... especially knowing that these current owner's tricks, came long after the places were reported to be haunted... It's cool that you went there to give it a try, though... I'm not sure if I would have the courage to stay at some of these "long time" haunted places though... I'm really not interested in seeing the ghost of a dead engineer standing behind me on a escalator! LOL!

Let's just say I'm not the overly concerned with ghosts type. In fact, my staying there had less to do with its haunted attraction and more with my interest in old passenger ships. I've always been crazy about Titanic and the Queen Mary shares a passing resemblance (it was even used as the Titanic set for the movie A Night To Remember). For what it's worth, I had a pleasant enough experience. No moving chairs, no apparitions. Even watched the sunrise on the stern.
