Instead of butter, in your opinion?
I read that it is: "
Margarine usually tops butter when it comes to heart health. Margarine is made from vegetable oils, so it contains unsaturated "good" fats — polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats. These types of fats help reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or "bad," cholesterol when substituted for saturated fat.
"
And i thought butter was healthier for you, all this time.

Straight margarine to butter-NO. Healthy fats are good for you. The point is not to over indulge. Now all the "lows"(low sodioum, low cholesterol, etc) you can find with margarine can make it on the same level. Just be careful & read the labels because low in anything can mean higher in other unwanted crap. BTW only use butter when baking
