What do you think of them? I enjoy both of them a lot, especially the first.

I love the first one and had mixed thoughts on the second one at first. But it's since grown on me a bit. Jared Harris was great casting as Moriarty. Not sure why they killed off Irene Adler but maybe McAdams had a scheduling conflict or something?

I'm in agreement, they were fun movies, with good chemistry between Downey and Law. I'm also at a loss as to why they killed off Irene, politicidal's explanation is as good as any. Would have liked to seen a third one, but sadly I would suspect too much time has passed.

But even she doesn't get paired up with anyone and is kind of just a guide to get them from place to place in the end. Just makes it odder what they did to Adler.

Well they waited 22 years to do a sequel to Psycho and 33 years to do one for Coming to America, so I don't see why Downey and Law can't make a third film at this point.

There is a third one in development. I think Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) was gonna direct it instead of Ritchie this time.

Enjoyable films, and fun take on the characters. The Holmes/Watson dynamic was really good a played excellently by both, especially Law. Also has one of Zimmer's best scores
