Fr. Jack, that one is fascinating, and actually reminiscent of Hitchcock, making it a sort of meta-film reference, I suppose, since it took place in a cinema (recall the Albert Hall sequence in AH's The Man Who Knew Too Much, where the murder is timed to occur during the clashing cymbal passage?). Probable enough that the gangster's confession was legit, but it's still bizarre enough to have a spooky tinge, even without the alleged haunting!
