The Found Footage genre has been very much alive since the release of The Blair Witch Project (and there were many before then.) Many love love em and many cant stand them. Personally I very much enjoy them although II admit they are easy to screw up and make an awful one. And there are many awful ones.
But which ones are your favorites? It can be any genre. And it can be any kind of footage, not just "Found".
Mine: 1. The Blair Witch Project (1999) 2. The Disappearance of Jenna Matheson (2007) 3. The Last Broadcast (1998) 4. Searching (2018) 5. Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County (1998) 6. Cannibal Holocaust (1980) 7. U.F.O. Abduction (1989) 8. Host (2020) 9. The Houses October Built (2014) 10. The Houses October Built 2 (2017) 11. The Sacrament (2013) 12. Paranormal Activity 2 (2010) - Im not really a fan of the series but this one is good. 13. Blair Witch (2016) 14. End of Watch (2012) 15. House with 100 Eyes (2013) 16. The Visit (2015) 17. As Above, So Below (2014) 18. Megan Is Missing (2011) 19. The Last Exorcism (2010) 20. Digging Up the Marrow (2014) 21. The Last Horror Movie (2003) 22. Quarantine (2008) 23. The Fourth Kind (2009) 24. V/H/S 2 (2013) 25. Jane Doherty Investigates (2004) - This one is claimed to be real. Im kinda skeptical. Still enjoyable though.

I hate them all. The first evening I sat down to watch Project Almanac (2015, directed by Dean Israelite), I turned it off after about 10 minutes when I realized I was watching a "found footage" film - a sub-genre I swore off years ago. The next evening, however, having nothing else to see and being a fan of time-travel yarns, I turned it back on and finished it. The "found footage" format wasn't as distracting as it usually is with me - I think I even noticed some traditional editing. That, coupled with my basic interest in time-travel stories, kept me going. If I were a star-awarding reviewer, I would give it three out of four. This film is pretty entertaining and thought-provoking, but not as top-of-the-line as some other twisty time-travel films I could name – but worth a look.

The Blair Witch Project (1999)
Paranormal Activity (2007)
Those are really the only two that stuck out for me. Both are really good though. The former essentially pioneered the genre for modern audiences and it certainly popularized the concept, while the latter is a creepy ghost story. I found the ending to the former truly chilling. Not so much the latter.

Although I very much enjoy them I can defiantly understand how its not everyones taste. I seen Project Almanac as well. Its OK. I give it a 5/10.

I was really excited when Paranormal Activity came out but when I finally saw it I cant say I liked much. I didnt find it scary at all. I thought part 2 was way better and scarier.

Paranormal Activity Cloverfield I didn’t really like The Blair Witch Project much. I loved The Blair Witch Project right off the bat but I remember my uncle went to see the film and said he went all over the theater when the movie was finished to get a refund. Its a film that people have great love or great hate for. It shows how subjective horror can be. With Cloverfield I just thought it was OK. I know my dad loves that film though.

I haven’t seen Paranormal Activity 2 yet. I looked over your list again, and it looks like I missed a few. I love Searching. I’ll add it to my list along with The Visit and End of Watch.

Some favourites; Cannibal Holocaust Ghostwatch Lake Mungo [Rec] Noroi: The Curse Hell House LLC Skinwalker Ranch
Pretty much all horror or related. Though a non-horror footage film which I found alright; ‘84 Charlie Mopic’ 1989. A documentary team follows a small platoon in Vietnam.

"Found footage" is the std of cinema. Cloverfield is the only found footage movie that I wouldn't shit on, yet.
