So, are you aware of the existence of endives and do you like them?

I cooked the endive, then rolled it in some ham, put some cheese on the whole thing and put it in the owen. It was spectacular and so good!!

I see them and have asked produce guy how to use them. That's about it - don't remember the answer. Aren't they in spring mixes with arugala?

I apologize for sounding unkind, or dismissive. It was more a matter of confusion, and thinking that you might have been joking.
--You seemed to ask what endive is, then shared a recipe in which you had already used it.
--I must admit that it's hard to imagine a recipe that calls for a lettuce to be cooked (twice). And, the steps in the recipe were a little vague; by "cooking" the endive do you mean boiling? is the endive rolled in ham, or vice versa? how long was it baked, and with what other ingredients?
If you say it was good, I'd like to hear more.
Again, I didn't mean to be rude.

Isn't that the part of the animal you don't normally eat?

I only asked what endives are to check if others like them or even know about them because I only ate them for the first time just recently, and I was bewildered that they are so healthy, yet quite unknown compared to other vegetables/fruits. Yes, it does sound odd, but it worked. Yes, I boiled it at first, then I wrapped the boiled endive around some smoked ham which I had enriched with some soft cheese (creme bonjour). Thereafter I put it in the oven. If you are still interested, I can give you a detailed recipe, but I suppose it is quite strange and not for everybody

Sure. I'd like to see more. Even if it's "strange," it could be good.

As long as one eats well, it is fine to eat unhealthy details and succumb to guilty pleasures once in a while
