I can't help shake the feeling the Chuck Zito has always depserately wanted to be Sylvester Stallone, I mean he looks and even sounds kinda like him:
Maybe to some extent Dolph Lundgren as well, I can't shake the feeling that Hollywood wanted to turn him into the next Schwarzenneger (both huge muscle bound men with thick European accents)

I've seen Christian Slater compared to Jack Nicholson. I think that was a joke on The Critic too.

I have never heard of Chuck Zito which means he must have been a really good Sylvester wannabe then.

It was probably just an unwelcome comparison rather than anything intentional, but Skeet Ulrich being referred to as Johnny Depp for a while.

I feel like Vin Diesel really wants to be Marlon Brando.

I feel like Vin Diesel really wants to be Marlon Brando. Vin trying to be Telly Savalas would've been more obvious and less baffling than your Marlon Brando comparison.

I’ve always felt Will Smith imitated Eddie Murphy to some degree, especially in the 90s.

Telly and Vin both have the laidback deep voice.

I'm not saying Eddie Murphy isn't funny of course he is, but Eddie always needs to exaggerate and overact to get to that point while Will doesn't need to play dress up to make me laugh. It comes naturally to Will Smith.
