How many adaptations of the novel have been made in the last fifty years, including those designed for television?
I stopped watching them after the awful 1962 version with Herbert Lom.
I guess the success of the musical play has made it impossible to consider all future adaptations of the novel in any other way, as if we actually need another remake/reboot/reimagining.
I like Webber's music; hated what they did to the story and couldn't get through the film version.

I've only ever seen the Lon Chaney version, and the Wishbone adaptation, my interest can't span much further.
