Going beyond the infinite - 2001: A Space Odyssey. I really like the movie but this sequence of creepy music and Instagram filters lasts for at least eight minutes. I think two minutes might have sufficed.

The wedding in The Deer Hunter.
And I don't think we need to see Kirk looking in awe for a long time at the newly refit Enterprise in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Any scene where Treebeard is talking in The Two Towers. Seriously, I have to play these at 1.5x speed whenever I watch the movie on DVD.

There is not 15-seconds that should be cut from 2001: A Space Oddyssey.

The near final scene in 25th hour when they imagine driving past the prison and driving on and on. The scene was so drawn out I started thinking they really had gone past the prison. That scene tasked me.

I don't think we needed to spend so much time on that casino planet in The Last Jedi. Just find Benicio Del Toro and skip frolicking with the CGI animals.

There is an almost 30 minute long sequence in Valhalla Rising showing a Viking ship presumably travelling across the sea, I think to America. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING happens in this sequence. There is some fog and the crew members lying around on board and that's it.

The 70 minute handheld long take near the end of Lav Diaz's 8 hour plus Heremias: Book One - The Legend of the Lizard Princess where the protagonist stumbles upon a gang of drunk youths planning a crime is one of the few times where his epic lengths are unjustified/unecessary. A twenty minute fixed camera take would have down the job.
