Depends on the pay, who goes with me, what I'd be doing, etc.

I would turn it down because of the inconvenience of being stuck in the same place for months. Obviously I don't think any horror movie stuff would happen, but there is an obvious danger to be staying somewhere where you wouldn't have easy access to a hospital or clinic if serious health problems were to occur.

As long as the pay is good. Oh, and if Lloyd the bartender keeps on serving me plenty of Jack Daniels.

But I think for a job like that they remove any potential hazards that could pose a problem to you and your health/safety. Remember when Ullman talks about all the booze being removed from the property in The Shining?

I'd have to ask Tony - the little boy who lives in my stomach.

I'd have to ask Tony - the little boy who lives in my stomach. You weren't supposed to swallow him.

I am talking about unforeseen health problems or having an accident, like falling off something or getting a deep cut.

Probably not. After King, every little noise, shadow, a mouse passing gas and your imagination would run wild. And Cabin Fever is a real thing.

Yes. Although I'd wouldn't agree to it if it involved complete isolation, as in myself and no other person residing there for the duration. I'd have no trouble adjusting to the life Jack Torrence was leading in The Shining.

Of course. I'll just camp in the lobby and seal off the rest of the building.

No, and is has nothing to do with getting the shakes.
I'm a city dweller. The few times I was invited to visit country friends, I couldn't wait to get back to "civilization." I love the energy of the city, whether it be a small town in Lower Slobovia or a great metropolis like NYC.
