I rewatched a fifties movie called The Big Circus a couple days ago. There's a scene where one of the clown extras is leading a group of children to the circus who don't have transportation and they're all happy and dancing and stuff. I understand it's supposed to be a heartwarming scene but it looks so awkward and creepy now in today's world.

A lot of movies & TV shows from the golden era of moving pictures, which looked cute & heartwarming back in the day, look really creepy by today's standards. Eg: Shirley Temple movies. She usually acts with adult men, & at the time it was supposed to bring the paternal side of these men. Now today, with our perverted minds, they look completely creepy.

The Maurice Chevalier song "Thank Heaver for Little Girls" was cute and innocent in 1957. Now it sounds like a pedo anthem.

She usually acts with adult men, & at the time it was supposed to bring the paternal side of these men. Now today, with our perverted minds, they look completely creepy. The Maurice Chevalier song "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" was cute and innocent in 1957. Now it sounds like a pedo anthem.
All it takes is for the bad apples to ruin it for the rest of the batch.

Damn, I want to see this.
