The BFG is weaker than all those movies combined

I've seen 24 of his feature films ... none of them are bad
1941 would be my pick as the worst I've seen

War of the Worlds was his weakest, in my opinion.

I chose Hook because I haven't seen 1941. I never thought Hook was a very good film but I just think some are afraid to disparage it nowadays ever since Robin Williams died & nostalgic reasons.

1941 is an awesome film. I guess if you grew up with it and was a World War II and aviation buff when you were a kid, you'd appreciate it more.
Maddox: That's it, let me hear your guns! Bill: My guns? Maddox: I wanna hear what they sound like, let me hear em! Yang yang yang yang yang yang! Bill: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!
(I voted for Hook). I like the film okay, but it's not my favorite.

Aren't you forgetting about "Always"? No....but for me "The Sugarland Express" is like fingernails on a chalk board.

From the list, I'd go with War of the Worlds. My personal least favourite Spielberg movie is The Adventures of Tintin, however.

I'd say "Hook".
"War of the Worlds" was awesome, despite the cheesy ending. I really like it!

Yeah, it's pretty bad, but a notch up from "Hook".

I'm surprised The Lost World hasn't gotten more votes.

Something Evil (1972) although if that doesn't count since it's just one of his earlier TV movies then The BFG.

I voted for Hook but I think Warhorse and the BFG are much weaker.

Crystal Skull... and it's not even close. The cinematography (the cinematographer even admitted he had no idea what he was doing trying to mimic 1980s warm reds, yellows and browns instead of his usual overbearing green tint), editing, directing, lazy FX and script are all bad. The pace is very off, like it clearly ran overtime and all the quiet, natural slow moments were being chopped out. Only Harrison looked like he was trying.
Hook is a GREAT film. And not just because I adore Robin Williams (loved him long before he died--it's no Johnny Come Lately--my USAir captain dad even flew him when he opened the MGM Grand in 1993). It's beautiful in a classic Spielberg/Williams sentimental way. Always loved it. And I love how the 'what if?' concept regarding Peter Pan growing up was handled.
1941 has its moments (mostly Belushi), which I can't say for Skull.
