Really fun, underrated comedy from Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale dealing with the Beatles appearing in the US for the first time on The Ed Sullivan Show. Anyone here a fan of this?

I love the music, but the characters are a bit too unlikable/annoying for me to fully enjoy the movie. 6/10 for me.

Annoying and unfunny movie imo. Every character is nearly unbearable, especially Eddie Deezen. The speaking voices of The Beatles have always gotten on my nerves.
Just not my cup of tea at all.
Robert Zemeckis did good with Used Cars a year later though.

Enjoyable, goofy comedy. Yeah, the "Beatles'" voices are a little strange, and Eddie Deezen's character is weird, but then he's supposed to be. A movie made before Lennon was killed, when you could still poke a little fun at the Beatles (remember The Rutles?), depicting a time when Beatlemania was still silly and innocent and they hadn't yet become philosophers.
