IMO Windows ME was as bad as it's reputation suggests. I once owned a computer that came Windows ME installed. After several months of suffering, I replaced ME with Windows 2000.

Yes! It was that bad. Never has there been a buggier, self-defeating operating system. Nothing before it and nothing after it. Good riddance! Vista was bad also with similar issues. But ME was the worst.

I got an HP desktop with it installed. It did what I asked it to for several years. For me it was so-so. I really liked xp, and 7. I still have a two computers that run xp and one that runs 7. THOSE were great OSs'

But ME was the worst. I have heard an argument that Vista actually caused the financial crisis in 2008, because so many offices had problems handling it.
