Thanks for the heads-up. I'm in San Francisco, where the Peoples' Temple originated. We lived through its rise into prominence, concern over its considerable influence, and its ultimate tragic end. One of my colleagues lost a cousin in the Jonestown Massacre.
Local Congressman, Leo Ryan, was killed in shooting at the airstrip near Jonestown, as an investigative committee that he led was leaving the area. One of his aides, Jackie Speier, lay on the airstrip for (I think) 24 hours, having been shot multiple times. She now represents the approximate Congressional district ... adjusted for re-districting ... that he represented. Her district includes the southern portion of SF.
There have been many film adaptions of the history of the Peoples' Temple. I'm sure that there'll be much local interest.
