In the scene where Neil ( DeNiro) is talking to Chris ( Kilmer) at the docs office while he is fixing his gunshot wound..Neil mentions that it's Trejo that "gave them up " what exactly did Trejo give up tho? Trejo had nothing to do with the police ambushing them at the bank. The phone call that came in tipping the cops off wasn't from Trejo. It was some other cop who was trailing them , right? Ok. Maybe TREJO gave up info on how Neil and the gang were going to "exit" , but at that point Neil and Chris were concerned with HOW the cops got the lead to catch them in the act. Neil assumes it's Trejo who gave them up but it wasn't. I never understood that part. Seems like a minor plot hole.

it's been awhile, but I think Wayne Gro tortured Trejo until Trejo revealed info about the heist. Wayne Gro then fed that information to Van Zant. Van Zant (or one of his lackeys) subsequently informed the police.

I think Wayne Gro and the Henry Rollins character worked over Trejo to give them the next heist plans to tip off the police. Pls mark SOLVED if this answers your question.
