Paul of Tarsus was a great writer. And a very observant and knowing one at that.

I learned recently that his name was not actually changed from Saul. Saul was his Hebrew name and Paul was his Roman name. Interesting.

A lot of editing, revising, and redacting going on in the holy scriptures. And not only in the word, but in the interpretations and teachings as well.

And not only in the word, but in the interpretations and teachings as well. Paul/Saul did quite a bit of both himself, enough so as to make Pauline scriptural interpretation and the teachings of Jesus into very nearly two separate animals.

Jesus talks of love all the time, and in fact many spiritual teachers of all walks talk of compassion it really is a shame how few followers choose to follow that part.

"LOL" translated in this instance is: "This is all I have because I am too ignorant on the topic to challenge what you say." The translation for your comment would run: "I'm too ignorant and intellectually lazy/backwards to read the reams of scholarly study that support this, therefore I'll post silly snark in place of anything approaching an intelligent response." It's always easy to know what the weather is in good old London Town when you start arsing yourself to post moron comebacks to me, Cody; too cold to go out and hang at Speaker's Corner, ranting at the Muslim hordes, so you huddle over the warmth of your PC coming up with posts that would shame a lackwitted six-year-old to put up.

Demonstrate to me where this statement is incorrect, Isapop. I think you mean "Demonstrate to me where this statement is incorrect, Cody", don't you? It was Cody's "LOL" that I was deriding.

You made the claim so you back it up, Amy. Demonstrate to me how Paul’s teachings differ or contradict Jesus’?

You’re probably right. Clicked on the wrong post by accident. She’ll read it any way. Don’t expect her to back up her claim though.

In your first link all of those are taken out of context. For example about the return of Jesus, in Romans 13 Paul is talking about salvation getting closer as time goes by and warning believers to repent of and forsake their sins. In Luke Jesus is specifically talking about imposters who claim to be Christ and make predictions about his return. The site conveniently cuts that bit out of the passage. “””2. On the source of the Truth and the true gospel: Paul says: 1Cor.2 [13] And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit. Gal.1 [12] For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ. Jesus says: John.17 [14] I have given them thy word; [17] Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth. “””” I’d like you to point me to where the contradiction above is meant to be?
