Lost World and Scream 2 aren’t bad. Batman & Robin is ok if you watch it as a comedy

You keep asking the same thing over and over though and one thing I don't like is having to repeat myself. And don't tell me to take it easy. That is the best way to get on my worst side. You mean I'm not already on your worst side?
If you want to know the truth, I don't find your reasons very convincing. Especially since you introduce them with the disclaimer that you don't even hate it yourself, but your explaining the criticisms like they're a matter of historical record. Maybe all those people had an emotional reaction to what they thought was their hero and franchise being destroyed, and the anger towards it holds up less and less over time. Do arguments like it killed the franchise still exist after the Nolan trilogy, or the many DC animated movies?
It isn't my job to convince you. I think the movie is crap, though not awful. The movie isn't particularly fun, the acting is bad (Clooney is cringe-inducing), the action is dull for the most part, Batgirl is one of the worst written characters in movie history and Silverstone is unbearable in the movie and Batman and Robin themselves are annoying. There are a handful of fun things about the movie, but the bad things are in abundance. The story is a big nothing and it takes one of the more interesting Batman villains and makes him into a pun delivery system and then wants to play up his tragic backstory at the same time. It doesn't work. Batman & Robin isn't one of the worst movies ever made, but it is an embarrassing Batman movie. Batman Forever has the benefit of a compelling dramatic performance from Val Kilmer and Jim Carry and Tommy Lee Jones trying to out act eachother, though both tend get annoying after a while. Not to mention one of my biggest issues with the movie when Two-Face just keeps flipping the coin to get the outcome he wants, which goes against the whole point of why the character uses the coin in the first place.

If you saw what I wrote before I edited, disregard it. I kinda wish you took longer before deciding I was trying to annoy you, but whatever the case may be, I'm sorry I bothered you.

If you saw what I wrote before I edited, disregard it. I kinda wish you took longer before deciding I was trying to annoy you, but whatever the case may be, I'm sorry I bothered you. I didn't decide you were trying to annoy me, but I did find it hard to understand that after I said the basic reasons why people hate the movie from everything I have read, that you came back as if you didn't even read what I wrote. It did come off that you wanted to argue for the sake of arguing, but I can't read your mind. I apologize for being a bit of an asshole before. Movies are subjective and most people seem to despise Batman & Robin. If you enjoy the movie than it will be difficult for you to understand why people hate it even if it is explained to you. That is just the case when it comes to subjectivity. Maybe you took me saying "It isn't my job to convince you" the wrong way. It is a fact that I wasn't trying to convince you of anything except that people hate the movie for these reasons. If you don't believe that than you must think the people who hate it are lying, so I found it strange that you evenn worded it that way. It is as if you though I was calling you stupid for not hating the movie or something, which isn't at all what my intent was. I dislike the movie quite a bit and that is also a fact. That is what I meant by that it isn't my job to convince you, because it doesn't bother me that you like the movie or don't think it is awful. If I was trying to get you to dislike the movie or to see it is a terrible movie, than that would be different. I don't hold any bad feelings towards you.

I like Alien: Ressurection, not as good as the first 3, but certainly better than AvP I don't accept it as canon, but it's a fun watch.

Batman and Robin isn't very good, but I would still rather sit through that the snoozefest that is Batman Forever. Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones made you snooze? Both have nothing on Toy Story.

Jim Carrey's half-assed Frank Gorbvin impersonation admittingly was one of the more memorable things about that movie, but not enough to save it. Tommy Lee Jones? I don't remember much about him in that other than him hamming it up, he might as well have been a generic Dick Traacy background villain.

Both actors decided they were the Joker instead of their respective characters, very strange choices in that film.

Jackie Chan's First Strike The Lost World: Jurassic Park Speed 2: Cruise Control Batman & RobinScream 2 Tomorrow Never Dies Free Willy 3: The Rescue Mortal Kombat: Annihilation Alien Resurrection Home Alone 3 An American Werewolf in Paris
Murderers Row, I saw a lot of these theatrically. I was 11-12 in '97 so by this point I had completely moved past stuff like Home Alone and Free Willy. As obsessed as I was/and still am with Jurassic Park I remember not being as syked to see Lost World as I was to see Scream 2 and American Werewolf In Paris.

The ones I put in bold I saw at the cinema. I didn't even know First Strike was a sequel until this year.

You forgot to bold The Lost World. Too many people like The Lost World. I was only pointing out the movies that the majority has deemed terrible or below average. It's certified rotten with critics and audiences, as any movie where a 12 year old girl kills a dinosaur with gymnastics should be.

It's certified rotten with critics and audiences, as any movie where a 12 year old girl kills a dinosaur with gymnastics should be. I regard below average as like a 4.5/10. The Lost World is not panned to the same extent as the other movies I put in bold. There are plenty of movies that have rotten on RT that are just considered mediocre. It has a 53% on RT. Sure, it is rotten, but 53% means more than half the critics like the movie. I would define the movie as divisive. 6.5/10 on IMDB and a 59% on Metacritic. I think it is coming down to a difference in definitions again. I guess Alien: Resurrection has only slightly lower ratings, which I didn't realize. I would have guessed that had a 25% or something. I have seen way more people say they hate that movie than The Lost World though. So that is me just going off word of mouth. The Lost World is a perfectly watchable movie imo. I consider the movie to be average.

I consider the movie to be average. I think the division is mostly between "people who hate the movie" and "people who don't think it's THAT bad...hey, at least Spielberg directed it, right?" Nostalgia and debatably worse JP movies have softened its image a bit, but historically it's considered one of the most disappointimg sequels ever. I mean, sure, it's not Batman and Robin or Alien Resurrection bad, but those aren't following up a movie as good as JP1.

Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was like watching a porno spoof of a movie, but all the lewd stuff has been cut out and you are just left with the bad acting, cheesy costumes and 5 years behind CGI.
