There are two cartoons I have vague memories of watching in either the 80s or early 90s.
One was about a boy who loved dinosaurs and some how found himself transported to a world where dinosaurs are like man. They have cars, houses, etc. And he has to disguise himself as a dinosaur, a triceratops I believe, in order to move around and find his way back home.
The second one is about a boy who gets or steals a gold coin from an old man that slowly turns him into some kind of demon. He starts growing a tail, wings, a snout.
These might've been half hour cartoons on Nickelodeon. Does anyone remember these?

The first one is probably Denver, the Last Dinosaur. A lot of people flip the premise on that one for some reason and remember it as a kid living in a dinosaur world rather than a dinosaur living in a human world.
Not sure about the other one.

It's not Denver the Last Dinosaur. I remember that one perfectly well. Definitely not Harry and his Bucket either. That was from the 2000's.
I watched these either in the 80s or early 90s.
One more thing: they weren't a cartoon series. They were each only one episode long. Either specials or part of an anthology.

I can't remember the title but yes, and then wasn't he kidnapped by a dinosaur to sell as a freak or something because they found out he was human?

I think you're right.
If I'm not mistaken, it all had something to do with a scale model of a dinosaur skeleton he was building. Like that's what transported him.

Yes yes yes, he put the pieces together and then he was sent back in time. As I recall the animation style as best I can, it seemed like that late 80s/early 90s kind from the likes of Ruby-Spears.
