I have a rule about not paying to see these movies, but I’m curious. Everyone I know who saw it last night seems to hate it 😂 Have them watch Barbie instead.

Have you heard that Will Ferrell has a starring role in Barbie?

He’s way hunkier than whichever Ryan they casted.

Although you can't really be an overgrown fan of dolls and a snob at the same time bit false that.

That's absolutely true but gloating about it on social media when everyone knows your doll movie preferences makes you look like a clown. You wanted to belittle the OP that was the purpose of your comment nothing else.

I do end up watching almost all of them eventually. “Everyone” knows about my doll movie preferences? I’m honoured. I didn’t think most people on here even knew who I was. This is really exciting. 😊

So what I want to know is... where does everyone rank this movie against other MCU movies?

I wonder if the multiverse stuff will be too much for some smaller fans.

I wonder if the multiverse stuff will be too much for some smaller fans. Some of the horror elements could be too much for very young kids. It kind of depends on what they’d be used to. There’s a few jump scare scenes and creepy imagery scattered throughout…including a zombie like version of Doctor Strange. There was an 8 or 9 year old in the theatre I was in and she didn’t have any issue from what I could tell.

Parents see "superhero" & figure a 5 yr old can see it. The youngest fatality from the midnight Aurora shooting of the PG-13 Dark Knight Rises was a 6 yr old.

I have a rule about not paying to see these movies, but I’m curious. Everyone I know who saw it last night seems to hate it 😂 I don't like where they took Wanda. I always liked her & Vision in the comics. Its not a 10. Definitely prefer the first Strange movie I really appreciate how it feels more loyal to the comics, though, which is good & bad in that comics have been whoring themselves out for years just to sell a couple issues. It feels like Wanda is doing the Dark Phoenix turn since Marvel didn't have the rights to the XMen when they introduced her in Ultron. She is, in fact, like she has never advanced from that. She is very much in the mess with Hulk's mind mode-anything to get her objective, including killing anyone in her way. My kid noticed Strange is like a dad-took care of Peter & of America which is what I always liked about him in The Defenders. He cared. He has been on the cold side in the MCU. It is worth it. I saw it with my kid yesterday & will pay to see it with my sister Tuesday. Why would the multiverse be difficult for kids? They have the ability to read different versions of the same fairy tale, so just explaing it before if you think it will be an issue. I was a kid in the 60s. We had Batman. Man from UNCLE, Wild Wild West, 20 different westerns, guest stars who got killed on different shows the same week... It's make-believe. If your kid doesn't understand that, that is the greater issue. Hell, how many Hulks have there been? 4? Are we counting the cartoon ones? This isn't Drag Me To Hell. It is Raimi. My kid thought I was crazy saying it was clean, but it was. I probably meant pure. Raimi can push it (Evil Dead), but it's not grimdark oppressive. It's not pick up a severed arm spurting blood to beat someone with it. One of the Illuminati gets chopped in half. You do not see any of it, you can just tell by the reaction of the victim & the way the body falls. One could even see a child not realizing that's what happened. It doesn't come close to Deadpool level blood
