Wait, aren’t they prepped for burial beforehand? And no one realized she was still alive?

This seems to be a third world phenomenon. Not likely to happen in the USA. Very frightening, though.

Wait, aren’t they prepped for burial beforehand? And no one realized she was still alive? I guess that was not common until the early 1900s... The video I'm posting below goes into some of those details... For all postersInteresting discussion... Just stumbled across a couple videos on this topic a couple of days ago... Here's a sad story dating back to 1884... It takes almost 10 minutes before we get into the heart of the story...

It's a terrible and a horrifying thought that anyone of us could be buried alive...
But, thankfully, there are a few times, when people are saved before it happens...
And given the right circumstances, it can be a rather humorous "resurrection", when the recently declared deceased gets to have a bit of "revenge" by scaring the bejesus out those who almost buried them alive:
"It's Essie, The Zombie! Run!... Run Faster, she's after us!"
Poor Essie.

Well I've been cremated twice before, and let me tell you it is quite annoying! And it really sucks driving in a convertible these days.

That's how the term "saved by the bell" originated. Joker's Wilde
