Started their Mission from God 42 years ago today, wiping out rednecks, Illinois Nazis, and hundreds of police cars in the process. Just about as over-the-top as a comedy can get, never subtle but always entertaining and a killer soundtrack. Their version of "Sweet Home Chicago" is fantastic.

Still one of the best SNL movies. Too bad we got that unnecessary sequel almost 25 years ago.

Still one of the best SNL movies. Too bad we got that unnecessary sequel almost 25 years ago. It was less than 20 years later, but yeah it was terrible.

I love them both.....definite desert Island choices. I appear to be in the minority, and don't give a flying feck....I love Blues Bros 2OOO....as do most of my children. My youngest daughter can impersonate nearly every character.

Love it. John Landis was on a roll, fresh off making Animal House.

Never much cared for it. Too frenetic and noisy for my taste.

"I hate Illinois Nazis."
"Four fried chickens and a Coke."
"Don't look like NO expressway to me!"

Still need to see it. One of those that I know is really well liked, but I always forget about it.
