Instead of the usual two Ghostfaces, there's four of them but their duos. Would that be a good idea or would four Ghostfaces be too much?

Why not have an army of Ghostfaces and let Courteney Cox and friends get weapons and blow them away?

I mean that seems like the logical next step, but perhaps a little too much, especially if they want to have it be a mystery and the larger amount of Ghostfaces would more likely make some of the reveals fairly predictable to some if there isn't a significantly bigger cast.

Maybe the two duos are trying to kill each other too?
Overkill?
Probably. Also maybe the perfect step to up the meta in a new installment.

The opposing killers idea is one I've heard brandied about as an idea before. Four might be overkill but two-three could work.
Fun fact: Scream 2 was originally gonna have four.

I know this sounds kinda riddiculous, but I think they should go the "New Nightmare" route and have the movie be about the actual actress Courtney Cox being chased by a real life serial killer inspired by the movies. That would at least get me vaguely interested.

I do like the idea of opposing killers, but if you go overboard with it you'll just have a movie where everyone is trying to kill each other. And that'd be Bay of Blood.

I still have this—possibly silly—liking for the idea I proposed back in 2020:But since Neve Campbell isn’t returning, I guess that’s out.
