Any movie that isn't based on a previously established intellectual property- sequels, remakes and reboots included.
The new Jordan Peele movie Nope, and the horror movie Smile fits those parameters. The Black Phone, based on a published work of fiction, is also something I'd want to be a box office hit and get critical raves.
