Figured these were 2 disappointing sequels portraying 2 faux gods in a more cartoonish manner than they were portrayed before. Seemed like an apt comparison.
Anyway, which was the better movie?

They’re actually very similar: Directors who knocked it out of the park with their previous entry. Once given creative control over the script they falter. Both plots use a magic wish as a macguffin. Both rely a little too much on goofiness.

Haven’t seen Love and Thunder, but it has to be awful if we’re comparing it to WW84. That was astonishingly bad, and not even entertainingly so, just boring.

Oh, Jesus Christ Love and Thunder is the better film, hands down.
Wonder Woman 1984 had very little good about it. Love and Thunder at least has some other redeemable bits to it.
The only thing I liked about Wonder Woman 1984 was Pedro Pascal.

Which makes me believe that both Patty Jenkins and Taika Waititi should only remain as directors if they were to return.

Love and Thunder. It was flawed but I did enjoy watching it. And it's not that I hated WW84 but it just felt more of a letdown and was pretty dull for a good chunk. I am thinking of giving it another chance though.

Thor L&T. I dug the first Wonder Woman, but the second one was garbage. While Love & Thunder made some mistakes (we t too goofy with the humor, made Gorr underwhelming) I still liked it overall.

There was a fan theory out there that L&T being narrated by Korg makes the whole thing questionable since Korg isn't the most reliable storyteller.
