Does anybody know anything about how the various crime scenes were handled after the J.F.K. assassination on November 22, 1963 ?? If I'm not mistaken, once they figured out shots had been fired from the Texas School Book Depository, they eventually searched and found the "sniper's nest" and the Carcano rifle on the sixth floor of that building........but does anybody know how long it was after the shooting before that floor, or part of it, was sealed off......and how long that area was actually shut down? And once they were done with that particular investigation, did that company (the TSBD) immediately go back to "business as usual", or was it a while before they did so (assuming, of course, that they did)? Imagine having been a worker in that building, and eventually going back to work not only in that building, but up on that very floor again. Anybody know any of the specifics about what the aftermath was like for that company, and how long after the assassination the Texas School Book Depository continued on as a business? Also, one would have thought that Elm Street (the street Kennedy's limo was on when the shooting occurred) would have IMMEDIATELY been shut down after the shooting, roped off, and thoroughly scoured for any clues to the crime, but I don't know that that was done........or if it was, that it wasn't until hours, or maybe even days had passed (but could be wrong on that). Anybody know if and when that might have happened ?? SAVE FERRIS

I'm a bit rusty on this but I think he 6th Floor was sealed off pretty quick. People outside of the building had seen the barrel of the rifle sticking out of the window and told police when they entered. I think someone in the building said that they had heard shots from the 2nd or 4th floor (I'm not sure) and police went there first. but the workers who were watching the motorcade from the 5th floor pointed them to the right floor (they heard the shell casings hitting the floor above them). From what I remember, they had the 6th secured very quickly, considering the mass confusion.
As to the rest of it, I haven't a clue. Almost everything you read never mentions Dealey Plaza or Elm st. after the shooting.

Was the person, who chose the route of the Motorcade, ever investigated for being a potental part of a conspiracy to kill JFK?
Seems rather strange that the man who wanted to kill JFK, just happened to work at a building in such a unique location, that could easily allow for a second or more gunman to be located at several locations around the plaza.
Seriously, look at that map... Could there have been any other place in the world, that was a better place for an assassination?
Still wondering why Oswald didn't take a shot at JFK, while the car was still on Houston Street...

So the windshield, the Secret Serviceman in the front seat and John Connelly was all between Oswald and Kennedy. The shot on Elm Street was perfect, nothing in the way.
