Catman can wear kitten t-shirts without caring what people think. yes, that too. the other day i went out without a bra and the feeling of freedom and comfort was Unparalelled! And thats a thing, sadly, I wouldnt have had the courage to do earlier in my life..

Not having to be anywhere at a specific time.
I spent so many years ruled by a timeclock. I was a night owl forced to be an early bird in order to make a living.
Now, my time is my own. Other than the occasional dentist or doctor appointment, I am basically able to do things at my own pace, when I feel like it.

Side note: I think you've become adult once you realize adults haven't got it figured out either.
Things you've put on a pedestal can erode you. Knock things off pedestals, it's a mirage.

Not really about your post, but right now I'm waiting on hold with my HMO's appointment line. They have cut back workers. They want you to do everything on line which is fine if there's no special problem. ☹ Guess I was responding because this is how I spend my time. Lol

Lol That seems to be par for the course nowadays - we have to do all the work, usually online, rather than talk to a human who can set things up easily. I had a computer issue last week, fumbled around online, then gave up and walked it into a Micro Center store, which fortunately had knowledgeable geeks. But the healthcare folks want you to do all the work in setting up appointments, etc., and a lot of older people don't have the computer skills or a family member young enough to know how to do something online. Perhaps soon, there will be a new addition to death certificates, after initial COD, a contributing factor, 'unable to access internet.'

I'm going to rant a bit: I was on hold for half an hour to be told the Neurology department makes their own appointments, screening unnecessary ones. BUT in all fairness, the Neurology department did call back within an hour. I got the appointment, blood work order, and am ready to go! Wish I could bypass the appointment line. Your post brought up a big issue: not everyone has computers, nor do they feel competent using them. They will DIE!! And I loved your new 'unable to access internet.' lol!!
