I heard before that there were games played on cassette tapes and I've wondered how they worked. This is a really interesting video.

Slightly OT, but somewhat relevant: The Coleco Adam used double cassette drives, one for the operating system, one for whatever program the user wanted to run.
With the built-in BASIC programming language, you could write your own programs and save them to a tape for later use.

I used to have one of those for my two first computers, Vic 20 and Commodore 64. Even had Rambo II First Blood.
Slow as hell.
