Just saw tonight. Well, it wasn't that bad. James McAvoy did a good job in the role. He played a person with Disassociative Identity Disorder - Split Personality, in layman's parlance. He kidnaps three teenage girls, promising them that soon they will meet one of his personalities, "The Beast". One of the actors is the girl who played the "The VVitch" in last year's film.
I give it a solid 5.5 / 10 if only for McAvoy's good role.

I thought it was pretty good, a 7/10 for me.

James McAvoy is a pretty good actor but I thought he was shit in this film & I blame the director. I didn't like the personalities either... especially the retard kid. Also James McAvoy isn't in the slightest bit intimidating. I gave it 4/10. Even though i dislike the director in general i am glad others enjoyed this film to the point it has gained him back some credibility... didn't like The Visit either largely due to the characters but everyone else seemed to like it so good for them

Yuck "The Visit" stunk up a storm. And after sleeping on it, I am downgrading "Split" to 3.5

Can't say I agree your conclusions. I thought it was a solid 7/10-7.5/10 film.

it's MNS' best since Unbreakable but that isn't saying too much. the suspense was really weak. McAvoy was good but i expected more for him to chew on in such a role. i rate it 7/10.

I am watching "Unbreakable" soon. I just read today that MNS is making a sequel to it. So that will conclude a trilogy of these along with "Split". Is this you Brett?

Yeah there's no question that Split is set up for a sequel.

Been waiting months to see this, and a friend said the twist was amazing. They lied. The set up is really good and kept me guessing, and the payoff was really, really lame.
4/10

I like it, mostly because it teases me with the idea of an Unbreakable 2. I LOVE that movie!
