The energy effect used when he gives the kids his power is golden, similar to the Zeus Thunderbolt energy effect, not the same as Thor's own energy which is a white/blue color. He could only do this after he got the Thunderbolt.
Do you NEED to be spoonfed this much?
This isn’t the case, you fruit bat. They never established or so much as hinted at the weapon having that power. And why would Zeus’ weapon bestow Thor’s power? Even if this was intended (which it’s NOT) it makes no fucking sense and is even dumber than having no set up. They said they needed the Thunderbolt for the power it would give them to fight Gorr, and it clearly augmented Thor's powers after he got it. The set up was Thor realizing that if he could get Mjolnir to empower Jane, then if he got a power up from something else he could do that again with even more people.

Thor DOESN'T have the power to do that, he needed Zeus' Thunderbolt to do it to those kids. That's why he couldn't do it before, and unless he keeps the Thunderbolt he can't do it again. So Thor needed Zeus's bolt to give others the power of......Thor? He needed it to amplify his own power to the point he could spread it out. The set up was him realizing he'd done so with Jane via Mjolnir, but since Mjolnir could only do it for her he needed a powerup to replicate that on a larger scale.

"Spreading his power out" was not a part of the plan, nor is it ever hinted he could do that. He went there asking for an army.
Capabilities Electricity Generation: Thunderbolt can channel the electrical energy of Zeus. Flight: Thunderbolt can be used to fly. Teleportation: Thunderbolt can create a sphere of energy that allow its user to travel interstellar distances. Weapon Calling: Like Mjølnir and Stormbreaker, Thunderbolt can return to its user's hand at will.

There was never even a moment where Thor realized that he enchanted Mjolnir. He did it accidentally years ago and the movie never has him find out. Zeus’ weapon had nothing to do with it at all. This is not a smart movie, and yet, you completely misunderstood ALL of it! Apparently YOU need this SPOONFED to you. 😂

Thor obtaining the power to bestow his abilities should have been a big plot point. There wasn’t even any foreshadowing for it. Just total garbage writing. He shouldn't be able to do it period. It's just going to come up whenever he is in a bind. Why doesn't he just baptize them all with powers of Thor whenever he's outnumbered? An army of Thors at his disposal whenever he wants. It's so dismissive and anticlimactic. Real bad comicbook trope/stereotype kinda thing. Makes him look weak too.
Bale was good, but I hated how Thor couldn't get a clean win. I am so tired of heroes that can't win fights. Gor's power comes from the sword. He's not as physically strong, it's more an ability. Earlier int he movie when they found at New Asgaard, I thought that was handled well. He kept using those shadows to help him fight Thor, because you know, he wasn't as strong as Thor. That was the way to handle that. Every villain doesn't have to be the same. He wasn't as strong as Thor. No problem. Magic sword and shadows help him. Then by the end of the movie Thor needs help. Ooof!
Yeah it was just a very poorly written script. There are some good ideas in it but they desperately needed a better writer to make it work.

That's why when he gave them his powers, the energy effect was same as the Thunderbolt and not like his usual energy color. I know you've jumped on the Buffoon Hater Bandwagon but you need to stop making up things to hate.
This isn't Nolan, they aren't going to stop everything to have a character give an awkward exposition infodump monolog.

You’re a total buffoon. Making up explanations that are not in the movie is a new low. I’d block you if you weren’t so unintentionally hilarious. 😂😂😂

I agree with this. That first fight in New Asgard was promising and was the best fight scene in the movie. Not every villain needs to be able to go toe to toe with Thor in a melee fight. In Thor1 and Avengers, Loki fought Thor in almost pure melee, only using his illusions once if I remember correctly. In Thor TDW, Malekith fought Thor in h2h combat, barely using any magical abilities on his part. When IM fought Thor, used his thrusters and a few hand blasts but it was also mostly fisticuffs. It's redundant and takes away from Thor's supposedly superior warrior training. As for giving out his powers, that's just ridiculously plain bad writing. Because if that was the case then why didn't he give everyone that power against the Chitauri or the ultronbots or in the battle of Wakanda?

I do however think it’s extremely pathetic to make up random stuff that isn’t even in the movie to defend it. Maybe you should put down the shovel or you’ll never get out of the hole.

Did he do the power transfer before or after he got the Thunderbolt? It was after he got the Thunderbolt AND the energy shown looked like Zeus' energy and not Thor's usual colors? Well there you have it.

Zeus as a f'n Happy Meal mascot took me right out of it.
In hindsight, I would've had the Guardians actually matter. Instead, we get the lamest serve up since Back to the Future Part II did Jennifer. Maybe have Rocket & Groot stick around to fight alongside Jane, mocking Thor with her for being a weirdo.
