The first one was merely bad, while the second one was one of the worst comic book movies I've ever seen. Yet they were financially successful. I've heard people praise the movies countless times. I remember when Morbius arrived to morb us all, hearing some critics lament that it wasn't "more like the Venom movies". I honestly don't get it. These were two terrible, awful, no-good movies. I feel like a chunk of society met secretly and decided to troll people. That sounds crazy, but it's the only explanation.

Never saw the second one, but I arguably liked Morbius more than Venom.
All Venom really had going for it was an entertaining Tom Hardy performance. The effects and direction were miserable.

And not even that. Riz Ahmed was the only remotely interesting thing about anything Venom on the big screen the rest is just Tom Hardy on drugs across the Atlantic instead.
