I hear about this new division and all these fascinating characters who wrestle serious matches. I stopped watching ages ago and it's kind of a shame these wrestlers weren't around when I was interested. I liked the women wrestlers of the time, but at the time they were called Divas, which in fairness is pretty dumb. It's stupid. If you want to be a wrestler and not a Diva then there's no place for you. At least that's the way it was. Bra and panties matches, bra on poles matches. Entertaining, but all stupid. It looks like now there's a real division with real competitors.
The appeal for me would be the same as it always was. Fit people in cool outfits doing interesting and fascinating moves to each other. There's never been a reason women couldn't do it except horn dogs not wanting it because they think only men wrestle, and that's clearly wrong and frankly, it always was. Maybe the surge in appeal is that it's just something different.

I am not a fan of women’s wrestling. I used to go to a lot of independent shows and I’d go outside for a smoke during the women’s matches. It used to be they’d use the women like they did the midgets. Some shows they’d throw in a women’s match. Now they put them on the same level as men and have multiple titles and put them in feuds and gimmick matches etc
