Would it be a happy medium to call it X-Men but ‘Men’ is short for menstrual?

I haven't really been following this story. Is it confirmed it won't be called X-Men? The Mutants is a shitty title, the least they can do is come up with a catchy new name for the team. After the shitshow that was The New Mutants, you'd think they'd want to distance themselves from that title. Screw it, just use X-Force, even though Deadpool already did it. Different universes and all.

Different universes and all. It’s not confirmed. It was “reported” well over a year ago with absolutely no quotes or confirmation behind it so I’d say it’s just troll bait. The name X Men is iconic. There’s little chance they don’t use it. Edit: just looked up those old articles and they also “report” that the movie will be announced in 2022. So…

"The Mutants" seems banal to me. Nondescript and dull.
That certainly doesn't mean nothing good can come from it. I had the same criticism of The Boys. Here I felt this was an intriguingly cynical and fantastic show, and they just went with "The Boys"? It seemed so dull a title that it could only be for irony.
That said, I really have no issue with "The Mutants" either. It's another generation's show now. With any luck, it will be a good show, and a new generation may be entranced like I was.

X-Force? I don't know that they'll ditch X-Men as a name, but if they do, I'd hope they'd go for something like X-Force rather than The Mutants. You've already got The Eternals, and sort've have The Inhumans, so let the X-men not-be 'The Mutants'.
