I have recently tried to make a few topics/threads in the action/adventure board/section, and I still hope that other action fans will come along and make their their own favorite films topics/threads etc, so that it gets a bit of a going. I am planning on starting some new topics here too, but I do not have the time to be in several places at the same time, still I always follow closely to any new threads/replies in the horror board, as it along with action, are my two favorite genres.

On imdb this place was rocketing. Now it's become a desert land. How come? I think everybody has headed to trash epics.

Really? By the look of the Trashepic forum, it does not seem all that active.

I know some guy who was on the horror board is now regularly lurking around on there. We're going to have to create more threads and get this place moving before it ceases to exist. Plus trash epics siteisn't secure

I tried to make a few posts on things that interested me, but I got so few responses, if any at all, that I stopped trying. I deleted them and now just respond to the topics where I feel like I could contribute in a meaningful way, though OPs rarely acknowledge my effort.
My interests in horror mostly lies in obscure movies from the 1980s and prior, and it seems like the posts around here that get the most interest are those about popular films from the '90s to present.
I would love to discuss things like the fundamental differences between horrors and thrillers, how horror has changed over the years, whether we can consider old horror films to still be horror films by today's standards, the reasons why certain subgenres become popular at certain times, and other such topics, but, it seems like people here mostly just want to make lists of faves. That's fine, and I have no problem with that, but it's not my thing, so I now just wait for topics that interest me.

I agree. There's way to much emphasis on 90s stuff, and I don't get into polls like, "who's the hottest Scream victim?" That's just silly nonsense. We rarely discuss classic horror. Who cares about Chucky, for God's sake? That's just CRAP.

I don't think I would call polls "silly" or "nonsense." I like some polls. They can be a fun way to approach a topic. They also require little effort to answer them, so you are more likely to get more responses than if you required longer answers.
My only issue is that they tend to be the only things that attract discussion these days.

Thing is the old boards were pretty genius. I could just hop on and find a thread on pretty much the most obscure film and contribute if I wanted. Hell I'd read through the threads like a novel as I watched sometimes.
It's going to take time I think to build it up. It may not ever get to that level. I'm just trying to go with the flow and see what happens.

Plus trash epics siteisn't secure Guess what? IMDb isn't secure, and you've probably used that site for years.
Having a "secure" site means you have an SSL certificate, which means you paid the monthly fee for it. Any domain can buy SSL, and still screw you over. Just saying.
If you have a competently designed website, then you also have a secure website. Three years running, no issues.
Come on, moviemaniac... I've seen your name around the old horror board plenty. You ought to join our junkyard at TrashEpics. Same goes for anyone reading this.

You may just generate some good posts there, especially if you are referencing the older films. Many of the regulars are great at writing actual paragraphs about films and not so much into lists of titles and #/10 thingies. I know some of them have horror and thriller as preferred genres so .... cya there maybe ?

Trash Epics discrimate a lot of people - I got booted because he thought I was friend with some female IMDB member they disliked on IMDB...
The so called person that the admin was referring too, she hated me like a passion & she did create numerous times sock names of my account name...
Oh well, some people don't do they research before making false accusations...Or taken the fact I was bullied too by the same person they are referring too
