There's no way he's dead. Everything points to him being alive. The whole franchise was him trying to get back to the point where he could be left alone. King asks Winston if John is in heaven or hell, Winston replies, "Who can know," or something like that, and King laughs. John is alive. Yeah, he's not dead. The ending was a bit abrupt and the interaction between King and Winston also hints at that. Wick has survived much worse. Wick dying is out of character for him lol.

They can continue with the fifth one by going beyond The High Table. Wick is the deadliest assassin in the world. There must be a lot pissed off people looking for revenge. This franchise can go on for a couple of more sequels.
If they make another one, I would like see Wick battle Mexican cartels or some African warlords.

Akira said for John to kill Caine or she would. It didn't look like she simmered down any True, but, again, I'm just saying I liked what John did for Caine and his daughter. Separate from Akira. yeah me too. Plus Caine could have taken Akira down. We dont know and its not impossible.

He was blind. We saw John use that to his advantage Akira knew Caine was blind. All she needed was to be silent. Caine also has his guard down. He's free.

Because I'm a gal who actively seeks out spoilers, I knew he was going to die so I listened carefully for any clues it was going to be a fake-out.
There are a couple scenes that set up an unspoken "John must die"
Look how the Table gave free reign to the Marquis. You don't think they wouldn't double down on killing John after that?
There had to be a gravestone. That is likely why Winston brought it up.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Reeves revealed that he would be willing to return for John Wick 5, but only if franchise director Chad Stahelski was involved.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Reeves revealed that he would be willing to return for John Wick 5, but only if franchise director Chad Stahelski was involved. of course, thats the ONLY WAY it should be. And i really hope people would boycott the HELL out of the movie if Stahelski was alive and able and DIDNT direct. Leich is OK but only ok. Stahelski (and Kolstad) are the real deal.

yeah but on the other hand he was saying Helen and falling over presumably to join her, dont we want him to finally see her again and be at peace? Unless they did John Wick 5 as “JW fights Satan in Hell in order to get to Heaven to join Helen” (tm) Now I wound watch the hell out of that

A+
That is how you crescendo John Wick.
+ - Everything? New York, Osaka, Berlin, Paris - outstanding locales with magnificent shots. Cinematically glorious - I'd hope some Oscar noms next spring. - The overhead battle with nostalgic JW music score was f'ing amazing. Has to be seen on the biggest screen you can find. - All the fight sequences were awesome. Osaka was very cool. Berlin's brawling in the waterfalls was excellent. Paris staircase was action bliss. - Paris duel was a signature fitting end to John & his place in this franchise. - They pretty much nailed every single casting decision, & every one of them stepped up.
- - The only thing I suppose was John's story proper, he seemed a bit more along for the ride this time instead of pushing much early on. I felt like he wasn't with us often enough to start.
I still have the first JW film higher because of how incredibly fresh it was, & how raw it'll always play. This is easily 2nd fav for me already, & I could see myself skipping 2 & 3 often enough during re-watches down the road.

One of the greatest action movies ever made, IMO. This movie is pure bonkers. Reeves and Yen were amazing. Also, Marko Zaror and Scott Adkins should do more films like JW 4. Both are such underrated action stars. My guess is Wick fakes his death to live a life of peace. It seems out of character for him to die lol. But there are a couple of hints which indicate he was going to die like in that scene where he says having "Beloved Husband" on his tombstone. So maybe, maybe not. This is going to be a big hit. They'll definitely continue this franchise. I could see a sequel, though they'd surely have to be ready for mild reception letdown after this masterstroke. It would be a true shame to go back to the well just for money now, when all's sewn up so flawlessly.

Those shots of Wadi Rum were incredible. Chad Stahelski mentioned he & Keanu were discussing bucket list things for a 4th Chapter on an airplane ride back from a premiere for Chapter 3 overseas. That opening Lawrence of Arabia nod was one of his first thoughts.
