I've never tried the Instant Pot. I was a dismal failure with "CrockPot." Everything always seemed to be overdone. I prefer a low/slow oven. However, I recently saw a "short" video on YouTube, about Pyrex. (I don't understand why I can't copy/post it, but I can't.) Go to YouTube, and search "PYREX VS pyrex." The woman makes the point that (lower case) pyrex, is distributed in the western hemisphere, while (upper case) PYREX, is distributed in the eastern hemisphere. She claims that PYREX withstands temperature extremes, while pyrex, shatters. The examples of the dishes that she shows, have the name embossed on the bottom of the dish. I have only one, 1 Quart/Litre measuring cup from that company, by either spelling, and it only has the name printed ... all caps ... on the side. Nothing is embossed on the bottom. I've had it for years, but it's never had to undergo anything more extreme than a few seconds in the microwave.

I love all my Pyrex bowls and dishes. I also love all my Anchor Hocking glass bowls and dishes. For everyday food, I'm now using plates and "glasses" made out of wheat straw, they are light weight and when I drop them, they don't break - I'm getting clumsy in my old age. I still use either Pyrex or Corelle for the microwave. The wickedkitties still have their china plates, I think china is pleasing to their tongues.

Have to Google that one. It's fitting that the wickedkitties are treated to the highest of china, for their repast. You, and Catman, have probably seen this before, but I recently saw a sign that read: " In ancient times, cats were treated as Gods. They haven't forgotten."

I bought the wheat straw plates, bowls and drinking cups on Amazon. I don't think you can microwave them, I'll have to check but you can put them in the dishwasher
I just checked on Amazon and you Can use them in the microwave.
p.s. cats are the only Gods!!!!

I've experienced that personally...... I once owned shares in a large mining company that was in debt up to their eyeballs... BUT, they owned large land areas with provable resources. Nothing for shareholders to worry about, right?...... Wrong. Eventually they declared bankruptcy, shucked off all their creditors (defaulted on their loans), reorganized under bankruptcy protection, and emerged with a new name and new ticker symbol. Needless to say, my shares in the previous company became worthless.
