If you didn't click, it's David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.
I don't know Corenswet from much aside from "Pearl", but Rachel has proven herself with Mrs Maisel so that's Ace casting in my book.

Well, at least the guy is a lot taller than Cavill. He actually looks like a cross between Cavill and a young Tom Wellington. But he'll need to seriously hit the gym to pull this off.
Not a big fan of their Lois Lane, but she does look more like Lois than Amy Adams did.

If you didn't click, it's David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. Already an improvement over the MoS casting as far as I'm concerned. I just hope they've prepared themselves for the unfair criticism they'll inevitably receive from fans of the Cavill/Adams pairing. I don't know Corenswet from much aside from "Pearl", but Rachel has proven herself with Mrs Maisel so that's Ace casting in my book. I can easily picture her as Lois Lane.

Hope he has some training ahead of him. Otherwise, no.

He still looks in good shape there, him getting bigger for Immortals and Superman wasn't as big of a stretch as it will be for Corenswet if they're planning on filming soon.

How would you know, he's in costume and he's not exactly in decent lighting. You do realize that you don't need to be heavily muscled to be ripped right? Or did you not know what ripped means?

I know you're writing off this new guy without giving him a chance to show how he'll bulk up, and that Cavill wasn't that ripped or even cut in that picture but you ignore that. Typical.

Most actors aren’t naturally ripped.

How would you know whether Cavill was ripped or cut in the picture when he was fully clothed? You do realize you actually need to see their skin for you to be able to say they aren't ripped right? After all, you'd never realize how ripped Bruce Lee was if you put a long sleeved shirt on him. It seems to me you just want to ignore the fact that Cavill was completely ripped in the Immortals. Typical.

Most actors aren’t naturally ripped. Yeah but most actors (especially the younger ones) do spend a good amount of time and effort with a gym and diet routine. So most leading men actors already retain a somewhat built physique as their regular physiques

Yes he was, as I saw that movie. I also know that he wasn't ripped in his Superman audition and you're not giving this new guy a chance. Like most everyone else on the bandwagon.

A skintight suit won't highlight a ripped person's physique unless that suit is incredibly thin. You obviously don't know much about this topic so I'd suggest you bow out now before you embarass yourself further. As for not giving him a chance, where exactly did I say that? Please quote me specifically on where I supposedly didn't give him a chance.

The spandex-type suits that they use for these superhero shows aren't that thin... which is why they have to add fake muscles on them. You obviously don't know much about this topic so I'd suggest you bow out now before you embarass yourself further. As for not giving him a chance, where exactly did I say that? Please quote me specifically on where I supposedly didn't give him a chance.

Cavill was not ripped during his audition and got so later, so we owe the new actor that same chance.

You don't seem to know what "ripped" actually means. It's very difficut to see striations underneath clothing, even when they’re skintight. What you need to be is jacked in order to see it underneath clothing. So what you probably meant to say was that Cavill wasn't jacked when he auditioned, in which case you would be right. Now all you have to do is admit you used the wrong word (ripped) and you can save yourself the embarassment.
