Is it worth buying a DVD copy of Obi Wan, I don't have Disney plus. Ackbar opinion here. ObiWan is a mixed bag. It doesn’t always have the excitement and culture of The Mandalorian. And it doesn’t always have the mystique and gritty edge of Andor. But it does bring in good nostalgia like these other 2 series. There even times when the plot gets embarrassing. One example: (semi-spoiler) ObiWan hides (a child) Leia under his raincoat to sneak her out of an Imperial prison. You can clearly see her legs while they walk together. And there are other “weak” moments that pop up like this. There’s been mixed opinions about new characters in this series. I suppose they could have been better portrayed or developed. But you get to see some good characters from the animated series brought to life. Even though it’s gotten criticized in certain circles, I do think some of the scenes between ObiWan and Darth Vader/Anakin are well done. Especially some of the flashback scenes. And overall it expands on things in the Star Wars universe between episode 3 and episode 4. Especially where it relates to ObiWan and Vader’s relationship. There’s been some criticism that it doesn’t match up against pre-established canon. Unless you are picky about that sort of thing I would say some of the positives outweigh negatives. As long as you don’t have to pay too much it could be worth the purchase.

Thanks, my only worry now is the quality of the DVD's, most of my Andor dvd's are unwatchable, they keep freezing every minute and most of episode 4 of The Book of Boba Fett also keeps freezing, my Mandalorian dvd's are mostly good. I wish Disney would official make these series available but they are all about the money and not the fans. Luckily "emergency awesome" on Youtube summarizes the shows very well. Thanks again.
