It looks decent, but it's tough to trust the MCU these days. Fingers crossed.

I just hope it's better than She-Hulk and Secret Invasion. I enjoyed the first season a lot.

Let's hope this show starts to bring the phase five narrative into focus. It doesn't look like The Marvels is trying to do anything interesting.

Episode one exceeded my expectations. If the rest of the season is anywhere near as good, this will be a solid win for the MCU, which they needed badly-- especially on the tv front.

To be fair, the first 2 episodes from Season1 were exceedingly good then promptly dropped off a steep cliff after that I never thought Loki went off a cliff. It was inconsistent for sure, but compared to most other MCU shows, even the worst episodes were decent. The fact that the first episode actually makes you want to keep watching the show makes it better than Secret Invasion or Ms. Marvel by comparison.

Personally, I found most of the MCU shows had a great first few episodes... including She-Hulk. That's how they keep getting high RT ratings, because crit ratings are normally posted only after the first few episodes. But I agree that Secret Invasion and Ms. Marvel sucked from the very start.

Episode 2 was just as great, looks like the Ouroborus character will be a series regular this season. The entire cast is just killing it this season, but I can't say enough about the writing. The story is compelling, the banter is clever, and the tension builds each episode as more is revealed, though there are still more questions than answers. Looking forward to seeing how the time travel mystery unfolds as the season progresses, and how much (if any?) screen time Kang ends up getting. It seems like the show works as a standalone but will also set up elements of the greater MCU going forward, I call that a win/win.
It's wild to go back and watch Thor or the first Avengers flick and think about how that guy becomes a time cop. What a character arc! Is there another character in the MCU that would make the top ten list of villains and heroes?

Great call, Nebula has had an amazing character arc. I don't know if she was ever as fun as a villain as Loki, though. Wanda has been on both sides, but I don't think she was ever a fan favorite as either. I could be wrong; I didn't like WandaVision as much as other people did, so maybe she's more popular than I think. It's crazy to think how frequently this happens-- just like the comics.

SPOILERS
The ending was satisfying, though it did leave a few things unresolved. That can be a good thing, and some of it is in this case, but I still have a few questions. Overall it was a fitting end for this version of Loki; I always figured he'd have to make the sacrifice play somehow. Love the World Tree motif at the end, and the idea that he finally got the 'throne' only when he no longer wanted it.
I thought it wrapped things up nicely for his supporting cast, with everyone living the life they've chosen for themselves. Though Loki is the title character, so of course he's going to do the majority of the heavy lifting, it's odd that they spent so much time building up the concept of a team, only to have nobody else involved matter. They were all just witnesses to the evolution of Loki, God of Time. Would've been a little more fun to give them all something to do during the climax.
While I appreciate the ambiguous endings for He Who Remains and Ravonna, it's never really made clear how HWR fits into all of this. Is Loki more powerful than he is now? Theoretically, HWR is still out there, and was this a part of his plan all along? That I can live with as a cliffhanger, but I really wanted some kind of explanation for Loki's time slipping powers. How/why did he suddenly develop this omega level power out of nowhere? Seems like an important detail to the plot.
All in all it was a great show, with season 2 the stronger season in my opinion. Curious to see how this affects the greater MCU going forward.

*spoilers* I thought Loki season 2 was spectacular and that ending was fantastic. From the mildly comedic groundhog day-eque affair trying to expand the loom transitioning into a more serious situation with more dire consequences in whether or not to kill sylvie...transitioning again into a slightly introspective look at the entire Loki series and his realization in what he has to do/become in order for his friends to have a chance (and a bunch of worlds as well)...to him realizing exactly what kind of God he finally wants to be. It was such a satisfying episode for the Loki character. So well done.

Liked S2 a lot overall. Probably better than the first. Some loose threads aside, I wouldn't be upset if this was the finale for the whole series.
Shame not enough people tuned in for it, it's the best MCU season/miniseries since Moon Knight.

Great season and a great ending to a great show. If anyone hasn't heard yet, this is the final season of this show. It felt like a series finale. Sometimes a couple of seasons is all you need, they told the story they wanted to tell. Excellent stuff, some of the best content the MCU has ever produced.
