The Washington Wizards have added scoring punch by acquiring small forward Bojan Bogdanovic from the Brooklyn Nets, sources confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
The Nets receive a lottery-protected 2017 first-round draft pick, as well as Marcus Thornton and Andrew Nicholson. The Wizards also get Chris McCullough.
Bogdanovic, 27, is averaging 14.2 points per game in his third season in the league. He's making 36 percent of his 3-pointers. The 6-foot-8 Croatian was originally a second-round pick of the Heat in 2011 but signed with the Nets in 2014.
Thornton, 29, is averaging 6.6 points for the Wizards. He is a career 11.9 PPG scorer.
Washington (34-21) leads Atlanta by 2½ games in the Southeast Division and is third in the Eastern Conference, behind Cleveland and Boston.
