As in Christmas albums and movies.
Previous years I've left it too late in the month to start, and ended up regretting it as I didn't get around to watching all the Christmas movies I wanted to, and would end up having to save them for next year.
December 1 makes sense, but I feel that is a bit too early, at least in the area I live, as the festive spirit here seems to start maybe more like mid-December.
I might aim for mid-December this year for full Christmas movies and albums, and early December for Christmas-lite content (like for example a wintery movie or something set during Christmas but not directly about it)
But we shall see, as I'm known to be a big procrastinator and am still working through backlog and have lots of normal movies to catch up on during November.

Sunday night maybe. I'm off Monday. Merely dabbling for now.
I usually get my nostalgia fix for about 4-5 weeks before family time after Dec 20th or so.

I prefltty much only do Christmas stuff on Christmas day itself. It's not like Halloween where basically all of October is the horror month for me.

For me, it us usually after I go to the Santa Claus Parade in town.
After the parade, I would go home, have lunch, and watch "Miracle On 34th Street".
That night, I would transfer all of my Christmas music to my iTunes library. Plus, I would watch "Jingle All The Way".
The tunes would stay on until after the 12th day of Christmas.
It became too much of a hassle to take them off again. So, I just leave them on.

hmm interesting question i was just thinking about that the other day. I al thinking around Dec 5-10 for me. That sounds perfect. I may do the same. I just hope I can watch everything I want to before then. Already late November and I'm so behind.  |

Sweet! Here (in Canada), movies that are themed for The Hallmark Channel air on "W" - formerly The Women's Television Network (WTN). Also known as the Lori Channel - in salute to the wife of one of my friend's who watches that channel constantly. Also known as the Dad Channel. More often than not, Dad would be watching one of those movies on that channel. I noticed that Lacey Chabert has made quite a few appearances on those themed movies. Probably after we put up the Christmas decorations... I'm more of a Christmas horror fan. But I guess my favorite Holiday movies are "White Christmas", "Holiday Inn", "Christmas in Connecticut", and "It happened on 5th Avenue".

Here in Germany the first Christmas markets have been open since Mid-November and everything is already in the festive spirit. Plus the first snow has fallen too. I've already started listening to Xmas music, but haven't watched any festive themed movies yet.
