Well now that 2023 is coming to an end, how was 2023 for you overall? Good year? Bad year? OK year? What were the highlights/lowlights? Will you be starting off 2024 well or not?

It was meh. Not exactly a special year. But I guess it was better than 20-22.

B+
Got my silly debts under control & made my own luck at work - blindside transferring from an assclown I never have to see ever again. Aged 45, wisdom is paying off - i.e. the imaginations of a mystical future are no longer impeding as it were. That's a plus about ageing - the runway gets shorter, & yet the ideals in the mind also fade away, easing stress.

It wasn't great overall. Probably better than '20-'21 but about the same as '22.

With all the turmoil in the world, and suffering, it was alright, I can't complain. It is what it is.

I think I can appreciate 2022 a bit more now, since this year was full of challenges.

Broke up with my gf of 5 years, got shot with a BB gun by some kids in a car, had actual guns pointed at me at a Taco Bell, took my short vacation in California while it was overcast and the beach was cold despite it being August...
Other than that, not too shabby.

A sad year, overall. I lost my mother and my aunt to cancer. 2023 bites. I'm looking forward to a better 2024!

Trash. 2nd worst year after 2020.

Disappointing in some ways compared to 2022 where I made a lot more money. But from a technical point of view, I had progress which is good--but if money doesn't from that it won't mean much.

It turned out to be quite a great year at face value. I published two novels early in the year and had my best sales ever and got a lot of maintenance painting done around the house. So, it was peaceful and productive. I also got to spend a good bit of time with my niece and nephew which is important because I like being a presence in their childhoods and want to be with them as they grow up. But, I suffered some of the most intense anxiety attacks I've ever had, ultimately made minimal progress with my mental health and social life, and I feel as lost and adrift as I ever have. I guess I'm still left hoping that things will change for the better with minimal effort from me personally. Foolish, I know. Hi, pennypacker! Long time, no see.

The highlight of 2023 is I finally hit a goal that I've been trying to hit for almost three years. There were some low points too, but overall, I give 2023 a positive judgment.

Pretty good. Better than 2022, maybe better than 2021 or even 2019. (Don't think I need to mention it was obviously better than 2020.)
