Why would he be angry if some of it wasn't true or if he didn't plan to include it in his final books? Because it was a breach of trust. He had reason to be angry in any case.

"Five central characters will make it through all three volumes" - this is not in contradiction with some of them dying at or near the end.

Martin's also going to be rolling around in piles of money from this in any case, so I doubt his outrage will destroy his enjoyment of this fact all that much.

If he doesn't finish the books, then someone else will one day. He has it contractually stipulated that no one else can finish the series but him.
