Any fans of this album by Green Day? How has it held up after 30 years? This album came out when I was in middle school and it was popular amongst my classmates. A lot of the songs were played regularly, and still to this day, on radio. The music videos for the hit songs were also played regularly back in the day on MTV. As for the album itself, it's still pretty good. You have the hit singles like Longview, Welcome to Paradise, She, Basket Case, and When I Come Around, but there are also album tracks like Burnout and Coming Clean.

LOVE this album!
In fact, working music retail at the time, I had heard of Green Day LOOOONG before this album. This was because all of the skaters listened to Green Day.
Dookie didn't really take off in Canada until August of that year. The song "Basket Case" was REALLY popular at the time that I had started university in September.
Again - working music retail at the time, for stocking stuffers for Christmas that year, it was a toss-up between that album and "Smash" by Offspring as to what we sold more of.
It was an even split - Dookie selling MAYBE a little bit more.
