I don't know if making the Children of the Forest black while all the noble houses are white would have been a good decision. I hadn't heard that part before...I'm kind of glad that didn't happen. That being said, I had previously looked into the show and this what I found in my scouring the internet: Bloodmoon would have started with a wedding between the ancient House Stark and the Casterlys of Casterly Rock. At the wedding - in typical GOT fashion - all hell breaks loose when the moon turns the color of blood (hence the name) and meteors come crashing down ushering in the emergence of the White Walkers and the Long Night. It would have featured ice spiders and wooly mammoths among other creatures. Most likely we would have seen the establishment of House Lannister too (as they would eventually scheme their way into taking possession of Casterly Rock). Namoi Watts was rumored to play some kind of important socialite in the series. There wouldn't have been any Targaryens or dragons in it as it's set many years before Aegon the Conqueror ever set foot in Westeros. That means no Iron Throne (as Aegon created it from his enemies that bent the knee). There wouldn't have even been Kings Landing or 7 kingdoms like featured in GOT - instead, Westeros would have comprised of many feuding mini kingdoms (probably equaling in dozens if not over a hundred) with each one ruled by its own lord. I was intrigued by this series as it would have done what franchises like Star Wars fail to do in the modern era - take risks in a way different time period that's unfamiliar to viewers. As mentioned in the video, there's not a lot written about that period of time by GRRM. The writers would have had be very creative and original if Bloodmoon would have been successful. It also would have been nice to see the White Walkers handled, hopefully, by better writers. They would have needed to make them threatening enough that it makes sense Westeros would go to the trouble of creating the Night's Watch and putting up the Wall. I imagine that this would have meant we would have seen early "Wildlings" too. It's a shame they didn't give Bloodmoon a chance - even if it meant rotating out those behind the show and trying again. The original GOT pilot was reportedly terrible. It didn't stop HBO from remaking it into the successful show it became. I don't see why Bloodmoon couldn't get the same treatment... Oh well I guess.

Thank you for the synopsis , it does sound interesting and its a shame after spending so many millions on the pilot to drop it . I really don't know what they are doing.HBO is all over the place with the GOT series . Now there are reports they want to do Aegon conquest story with this sisters. .Henry Cavill is rumored to portray Aegon. Plus they are going back and forth on the jon snow series .
