It's in the article from Entertainment weekly, but also was mentioned in other spots over the last year or so since they've been working on this movie; but the most exciting thing to me is that they're going with practical and stop motion effects.. which is really cool. I'm sure there will be some digital stuff, but to hear people talk about it, it sounds like it was done with as little reliance on CGI as possible. Michael Keaton was talking about people pulling on fishing lines to move puppets and costumes, and Burton said they used stop motion to bring back the hand made look of the stuff he made when he started... which is great. I'm sure everyone kind of would assume that there'd be CGI since everyone does that in everything now, but it would feel wrong for Beetlejuice, and seeing anything go back to hand made effects is very cool, but doing that with a star studded big budget studio sequel feels kinda subversive in the same the original was.
